At The University of Tulsa, study abroad is a realistic, affordable opportunity for all students. The Center for Global Education (CGE) will work with you to ensure your study abroad experience doesn’t bust your budget.
The cost for students to study with one of our abroad programs often is equivalent to what they pay at TU – and sometimes even cheaper.
TU scholarships generally will transfer to study abroad tuition. Additionally, federal financial aid and student loans can be applied to approved study abroad programs. TU would be considered the home school and responsible for processing financial aid. Please contact the Office of Student Financial Services to inquire about the paperwork required to apply for financial aid for study abroad.
Student loans can be used to cover several study abroad-related expenses such as airfare and visa fees. Talk with your financial aid adviser about this option.
Additional Scholarships and Awards
The Center for Global Education as well as many study abroad providers and outside organizations provide scholarships and awards to support students going abroad. Students should discuss financial concerns with their study abroad advisor and check program provider websites for available scholarships.
