The program is a semester-long program that includes workshops and seminars on topics related to TU’s diverse student and faculty committees. Participants are expected to complete a required introductory seminar, “An Introduction to International Communication,” and then select from a menu of other workshops conducted by campus and community experts throughout the year. Participants who complete the introductory seminar and four out of five workshops will be recognized as graduates of the program with a certificate, a shirt, and special luncheon.
This program is flexible enough to accommodate the staff development needs of the entire staff spectrum, from executive and administrative levels through the nonprofessional staff. The program is designed for staff who have high levels of engagement with students and/or whose job performance could be enhanced with greater cultural empathy and intercultural competence.
