McFarlin Library serves as the
academic heart of the university.

McFarlin Library

Ideal for quiet contemplation, study and research, McFarlin Library is also a place of active engagement and the celebration of scholarly pursuits; a true academic town square, perfectly situated right in the heart of the campus.

Students and faculty have direct access to the library’s holdings of more than 3 million items that include 920,000 volumes, 40,000 electronic journals, 1,000 print journals, 120,000 electronic books, digitized University of Tulsa dissertations and more than 1,000 collections of electronic reference sources and databases as well as print resources such as books, serials, government documents, microforms, maps, literary manuscripts, historical archives and other materials.

We actively promote scholarship, critical thinking and responsible citizenship through information literacy, and we provide a welcoming place for self-education and lifelong discovery.
