I was born and raised in Tulsa, so I loved the idea of attending law school here. Tulsa is a wonderful community full of great opportunities, and as I’ve grown up, the city has grown as well. Before college, I attended private schools my whole life. I loved the close-knit communities and atmosphere there, and I knew that I would enjoy the similar environment at TU.
2. What made you interested in pursuing law?
My dad once told me that engineers and lawyers are the ones who know how the world works. I like to know how things work or how they are structured. Math and science are not my strong points, but government and the law have always intrigued me.
3. Where did you do your undergraduate studies and what did you study?
I graduated from Oklahoma State University in May with a degree in journalism and broadcasting with a minor in Spanish.
4. What are you looking forward to/excited about this semester?
I’m looking forward to challenging myself in a new way and furthering my education. I love to learn, and after 18 years I wasn’t quite ready to leave the classroom yet. I’m nervous, but I’m looking forward to this next chapter.
5. What class sounds most interesting to you this semester and why?
I’m a writer, so I’m looking forward to Legal Writing.
6. What is one fun fact about yourself?
Ha, I really don’t think I’m that fun or interesting so this is always the hardest question for me. I was a Kappa at OSU and my dad is an alum of TU Law. I enjoy blogging and making crafts.
