Chief Financial Officer

Jeff Nevins is the chief financial officer of The University of Tulsa and is responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the university’s overall goals and objectives.

With more than 35 years of experience in finance, accounting, and leadership, he most recently served as a principal and CFO for several successful private equity-backed energy companies. In these roles, he led accounting and finance teams and executed more than $1 billion in upstream and midstream acquisitions and divestitures.

Prior to that, Nevins was the CFO at Tulsa Community College, where he established key financial controls and processes and developed a long-term financial strategy that strengthened financial management, risk assessment, compliance, tax planning, and financial reporting.

Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at a Fortune 100 energy company, where he was responsible for business development, treasury, and corporate finance across both domestic and international operations.

Nevins holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and an MBA from The University of Tulsa.
