Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Services
Earl Johnson (BFA ’89) joined the TU staff in 1989 as an admissions counselor and has held progressively more responsible positions in enrollment management and student services since that time. Most recently, he led TU’s student recruitment efforts while serving as dean of admissions and associate vice president.
Johnson provides oversight to the division of enrollment and student services, which is comprised of the admission, student affairs, housing, dining services, international student services and financial aid. As dean of admission, he oversaw all aspects of the undergraduate admission operation. Johnson is active in several professional organizations including the College Board, Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling and National Association for College Admission Counseling.
Through the years, Johnson has enjoyed faculty appointments with the following organizations: Texas Association for College Admission Counseling Summer Institute, NCAA Expert Coaches Forum, NCAA First Team Conference and Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling Middle Management Institute. Johnson has been appointed to a number of local boards and educational associations in Tulsa, including the Booker T. Washington Foundation, KIPP Academy and Simon Estes Educational Foundation.
He earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from The University of Tulsa in 1989 and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Oklahoma State University in 2002.
