Position Summary

The Assistant Tennis Coach and Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for evaluating and recruiting elite Division I tennis players nationally and internationally. Specific responsibilities include designing training programs for student athletes, including racquet skills and fitness; assisting in the development of student strength and conditioning program using different types of metabolic system approaches (such as anaerobic, aerobic and phosphagen systems); coordinating and managing on-court practices and matches; analyzing and interpreting match statistics for tactical advice for players during and after matches; coordinating team travel for competitive events; assisting Head Coach in managing the team operating budget of $152,000.00; and assisting the Head Coach with marketing, promotion, and fundraising for the team

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Sports or Exercise Science or Education; twenty-four (24) months experience in tennis coaching. Travel is less than 10% of the time to assist with recruitment. Knowledge of and commitment to the rules and regulations of the AAC and NCAA; understanding of the Universal Tennis Rating system and the Association of Tennis Professional Rankings; experience playing tennis at the Division I collegiate level.
