Undergraduate students are classified on the basis of the number of credit hours earned. The classifications used are:
- 0-29 hours: Freshman
- 30-59 hours: Sophomore
- 60-89 hours: Junior
- 90+ hours: Senior
Note: Academic classification is based on completed credits only and does not include the credits a student is enrolled in during the current semester.
Summer/Fall 2026 Course Registration Schedule
All open at 8 a.m. on their designated day below:
- March 30: Graduate student enrollment
- April 6: Priority seniors and other select priority groups
- April 7: Seniors and priority juniors
- April 9: Juniors and priority sophomores
- April 13: Sophomores and Priority freshmen
- April 16: Freshmen
- April 24 and May 1: TU Up Close
- May 5: New incoming, transfer, and non-degree seeking students
