Department of Philosophy & Religion

The Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University offers distinct yet interconnected programs in philosophy and religion. Philosophy delves into fundamental questions about human life, encouraging critical examination of religious texts and traditions. Both disciplines share a common goal of exploring how to live a good life, challenging assumptions, and providing answers to life’s questions. Philosophy students explore areas like moral and political philosophy, while religion students contemplate life’s purpose and develop skills in reading, writing, and contributing constructively to societal challenges.
