Political Science students focus on political ideas, institutions, and behavior, exploring the rights and responsibilities of citizens and the relationship between people and government. The curriculum covers domestic and foreign political institutions, processes, and problems. The discipline is viewed through various lenses, from envisioning oneself in the halls of power to analyzing politics as a distant spectacle. Graduates pursue diverse paths, including law, government service, journalism, teaching, and more. Grant awarded to TU sophomore sparks change for Afghan students
UTulsa student Sateza Safi has been awarded a Sparking Change grant by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The grants of up to $10,000 are given to refugee leaders who hope to effect change and build their local communities, with potential projects ranging from those that foster cohesion across cultural differences, to those highlighting the creative voices of refugees and asylum seekers.
