UTulsa’s Department of Marketing & International Business degree programs combine theoretical study with an emphasis on practical applications in the workplace and community. Students are exposed to practical, hands-on learning opportunities by participating in real-world projects, specialized classes, student organizations, or internships. Management and marketing students will learn the concepts critical to the particular major and develop communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Classroom to boardroom: An immersive learning approach
Professor Charles Wood had three student sections collaborate with eight local startups, marking the first partnership between Wood, 36 Degrees North, and the ACT House. The assignment involved selecting a startup, forming teams, and promoting collaboration and adaptability. Over 100 students were impacted, along with the assisted new businesses.
