Professional Opportunities

  • Students gain hands-on experience working in our various laboratories featuring state-of-the-art equipment in robotics, power systems, computer-driven instrumentation, and telecommunication.
  • Students can design and study wireless systems in our RFID and wireless technology lab, conduct UAV research in our vehicle autonomy and intelligence lab (VAIL), and design optical sensors and optical wireless systems in our electro-optics lab.
  • Job opportunities are available in a variety of engineering roles, in fields such as circuit design, computer hardware, aircraft simulators, medical devices, and power systems.

Funding Opportunities

  • Assistantships covering full tuition and stipend are available for full-time M.E., M.S.E., and Ph.D. students.
  • Students who plan to travel to present their research can apply for a Chapman travel grant, which awards up to $1,500 for M.E., M.S.E., and Ph.D. students.
