Funding Opportunities

Qualified candidates are automatically considered for fully funded awards — including a competitive monthly stipend and all tuition fees — to pursue doctoral and master’s degrees:

  • University-funded assistantships that cover tuition and include a monthly stipend are available for full-time students.
  • The Wilfred Woobank Assistantship (tuition coverage and stipend up to $20,000) is available for M.E. and M.S.E. students.
  • The Dissertation Completion Fellowship, including tuition and a monthly stipend, is available to doctoral students in their final year.

The University of Tulsa’s Department of Mechanical Engineering provides math and science instruction to develop creativity, analytical abilities, disciplined reasoning, communication skills, advanced technology knowledge, and sound ethics. Theory and practice are applied to laboratory and design projects in small class settings. Our curriculum and interactive approach to learning enable students to improve their experimental skills and apply theory and analysis methods in product design and development.
