Transforming cutting-edge research into high-growth startups
The College of Engineering & Computer Science houses the UTulsa Cyber Fellows, a unique initiative that enables doctoral students to pursue research with high commercialization potential involving cyber security, data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and human/social behavior - all of which can be part of multiple engineering and science disciplines. Sponsored by Tulsa Innovation Labs, the Cyber Fellows work closely with faculty research advisers in partnership with the Oklahoma Cyber Innovation Institute. While some Cyber Fellows pursue doctoral degrees in computer science, computer engineering and mechanical engineering, others choose doctoral programs in cyber studies, which expand research pursuits to interdisciplinary studies such as finance, law and economics.
