The University of Tulsa offers an orientation program for all new students to help them get settled into campus life. The Office of International Student Services offers an Orientation for all Incoming international students, with information on visa and immigration regulations, cultural differences and much more. Besides participating in these 2 programs, incoming students also have an extra orientation hosted by the CGE to help you to make the most of your time here as an exchange student. The complete schedule will available about a month before the start of the term.
The Center for Global Education also organizes monthly cultural events just for incoming students, so that they can experience different aspects of US Culture. Examples of these are: excursions to Oklahoma City or to the Cherokee home in Tahlequah, Thanksgiving dinner, Halloween/pumpkin carving & bonfire, visit to a Native American powwow or to a hot balloon festival.
