All courses offered at The University of Tulsa are open to incoming students, provided that you have the prerequisite/background.

Course Information

Most courses are worth 3 US credits (that means 3 hours per week for 15 weeks for a total of 45 hours of instruction). Courses at the 1000 and 2000 levels are considered lower level and are more general. 3000 and 4000 levels are more specialized and usually only taken by students in that major/field. 5000 level or higher are for Graduate/Law students only. Graduate students can take undergraduate classes, but  undergraduates can’t take 5000+ level classes unless they receive special permission from the Graduate or Law school.

As part of the online application, we will ask for a list of courses you are interested in taking. After you are accepted, we will be in contact by e-mail with the actual course registration. Your course list can then be finalized when you arrive on campus during the drop/add period.
