ACEN accreditation commission sealThe Bachelor of Science in Nursing program has accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and program approval by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. It is a member of the Council on Baccalaureate and Higher Degree Programs of the National League for Nursing and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.

The DNP program has also been accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and it has been approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. The School of Nursing is a member of the National League for Nursing and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to sit for national board certification in their respective field of study.


All of our DNP programs and our Post-Master’s AGACNP program have been approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Council on Accreditation (COA) sealThe University of Tulsa Nurse Anesthesia Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), 10275 W. Higgins Rd., Suite 906, Rosemont, IL 60018-5603; (224) 275-9130; https://coacrna.org/. The program’s next review by the COA is scheduled for May 2025.


Master’s/Post-Master’s Certificate Programs

Effective Aug. 18, 2023, these nursing programs are candidates for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. This candidacy status expires on Aug. 18, 2025.

Note: Upon granting of initial accreditation by the ACEN Board of Commissioners, the effective date of initial accreditation is the date on which the nursing program was approved by the ACEN as a candidate program that concluded in the Board of Commissioners granting initial accreditation.

The University of Tulsa is not regulated in Texas under Chapter 132.001(1)(B) of the Texas Education Code.

The University of Tulsa is physically located in Oklahoma and has program approval by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing and is authorized and regulated by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
