Law Impact

The University of Tulsa College of Law is committed to creating lasting societal impact through the work of students, faculty, and alumni.

Community

The Public Interest Board (PIB) at UTulsa Law is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering community service, public service, and pro bono work among law students throughout their legal education. Each student automatically becomes a PIB member upon enrollment and is encouraged to complete 60 or more hours of community service in underserved and underrepresented areas before graduation to qualify for service honors.

Alumni and Hall of Fame

Whether they’re advocating for justice, shaping legal policy, or leading transformative firms, our alumni are proving that what they learned here wasn’t just about earning a degree—it was about making a real impact. Our graduates go on to work with top law firms, government agencies, and organizations around the world.

Law alumnus protects precious natural resource

By 2025 up to 40% of the world will live in water-scarce regions. For The University of Tulsa alumnus Kevin Patrick, water is not only a natural resource, but also his job. Patrick, who received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech before attending law school at UTulsa, has been involved in many water-related cases in his 40 years of service – everything from the integration between groundwater and surface water to trying to maximize the utility of the resource.
