Certified SolidWorks Associate Exam

Any student who has passed the Certified SolidWorks Associate exam has shown proficiency and is eligible to be granted credit for ME 1212: Mechanical Engineering Graphics. The main goal of ME 1212 is for students to gain proficiency in SolidWorks – the solid-modeling software ME students use throughout our BSME curriculum. If a student has passed the CSWA exam, either before or after arriving at TU, that student has shown proficiency in SolidWorks and they should receive course credit for ME 1212.

Official notification of credit will be provided to the Office of the Registrar by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at TU, before credit will be assigned to a student record.

Credit for successfully passing this exam will count towards the maximum of 36 semester hours of credit by exam. The maximum of 36 credit hours can be met through any combination of the following: AP, IB, A/ASL levels, SolidWorks Exam, OSSM, Rogers College High School, and Union High School credit.
