These important documents should be kept in student’s carry-on luggage.
- 1-20 if entering U.S. with F-1 visa
- Passport
- Copy of immunization records
Arrival
Our campus is located less than 10 kilometers from Tulsa International Airport (code TUL). Taxis are available at the airport. Students attending orientation may check into their room beginning August 18. Students who do not attend orientation will not be able to check into their room until August 24. Intensive English students may request to check into their room on August 22. Students who arrive before approved check-in date should plan to stay in a hotel. Parents who accompany students must also stay in a hotel. A list of suggested local hotels is available online.

University and Pathway Students
August 18-23 StartTU: New Student Orientation begins on the afternoon of August 18. Students can sign up here.
Intensive English Program Students
IEP students will attend a special orientation on August 26 guided by instructors. No registration is needed.
Intensive English students only
For students attending the Intensive English program, the required placement test will be August 23 at 8:30 a.m. in Zink Hall. Intensive English students may request to move into the residence hall on August 22. Housing application and deposit must be completed before move-in.
Required Immigration check-in appointment
University Students
As soon as possible after arriving in Tulsa, your student must attend a check-in meeting at the International Student Services Office (located in the Allen Chapman Student Union, 2nd floor). During this meeting, your student will receive important information about the university and visa responsibilities. Students should bring their passport and I-20 to the meeting. Your student should register for an appointment ahead of time at canelink.utulsa.edu, under the “Student Services” menu.
Intensive English Program Students
IEP students will attend a special check-in meeting after arrival and do not need to register for an appointment in advance.
Opportunities for your student to make new friends
