Pre-Law

Lay the groundwork for an exceptional future in law at The University of Tulsa.

If you’re considering law school, you don’t need to declare a pre-law major at The University of Tulsa. Instead, you can choose a major that aligns with your interests while working closely with our pre-law adviser. UTulsa undergraduates who achieve a 3.5 cumulative GPA and score 156 or higher on the LSAT will receive automatic admission to the law school, provided they meet other requirements.

Management

Experience innovative courses in organizational behavior and human resource management as well as experiential learning opportunities, case studies, and computer-based simulations.

Management students gain practical experience through internships working in for-profit or not-for-profit organizations for course credit. Internships are viewed as an integral part of a student’s education. The management program is designed to educate students in all areas of business – accounting, economics, finance, marketing, international business, and computer information systems – because the management profession involves interaction with all these areas.

Marketing

The University of Tulsa’s marketing degree program addresses the challenge of connecting products or services with consumers in a crowded marketplace by developing students’ communication, problem-solving, and creative skills. International Business & Language

IBL combines foreign language competency and international business coursework with a business degree. IBL students participate in study abroad and often find international business internships hosted by foreign companies. Accounting

Accountants record the data and processes of the business so that an accurate picture of the business is available and better decisions can be made. We offer an undergraduate accounting curriculum that covers financial accounting, financial reporting, managerial/cost accounting, tax, audit, forensic accounting, and accounting information systems.

Our Master of Accountancy (MAcc), a STEM-designated program, prepares students for eligibility to become certified public accountants. Different paths are available for students who wish to apply for the MAcc, depending on their exposure to accounting classes as an undergraduate.

Finance

Energy & Energy Business

While our efforts supporting research and education in energy have strong ties to the oil and gas sector, our programs reflect the philosophy that the energy industry is an evolving field and must be viewed from a long-term, sustainable perspective. Guided by a diverse group of faculty, you will receive advanced training in upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas business functions and operations.
