Graduates must have the appropriate regalia to participate in the spring commencement or spring law hooding ceremonies. Cords, stoles, pins, medals, and other regalia worn at the commencement ceremony are issued by the various organizations of which the graduate is a member. The University of Tulsa issues academic honors cords to undergraduate graduates who earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Missing regalia? If you are planning to attend the May 11 commencement events and missed the April 17 order deadline, you can visit the University Bookstore on the second floor of the Allen Chapman Student Union. There are a limited number of extra regalia items available for purchase. If they do not have regalia available that meets your needs, please contact commencement@utulsa.edu and we will direct you to alternative options available via Amazon.

TU Tradition: The Final Bell Party

Dating back more than a half-century, this tradition holds a special place in TU's history. The Final Bell Party and Bell Ringing brings graduates and their families together in celebration as they ring the Kendall Bell. Hosted by the TU Alumni Association, this festive event kicks off at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10, at Bayless Plaza followed by a champagne toast. All graduates, along with their friends and families, are warmly invited to join in this memorable occasion.
