COVID-19 Vaccination Open to TU Community (student and employee email)

Dear campus community,

The State of Oklahoma has opened Phase 3A of its COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan, which encompasses all university faculty, staff and students residing in Oklahoma who were not already eligible under Phase 1 or 2. To register for a vaccination appointment, please visit vaccinate.oklahoma.gov.

After completing your online registration questionnaire, the Oklahoma State Department of Health will email you a link to the vaccination appointment portal where you can select an available appointment. If there are no available appointments in the area, I recommend registering for appointment notifications via text or email from vaccine-alerts.com. This free service will automatically notify you when an appointment opens.

The University of Tulsa is collecting data on the percentage of our community that has received the COVID-19 vaccine. This critical information helps inform our efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 on our campus and make decisions about fall 2021 campus operations. If you already have received one or two doses of the vaccine, please log in to the patient portal, click the Upload tab and then select 2021 COVID VACCINE DOCUMENTATION from the dropdown menu. You will be directed to upload a copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card. We will publish aggregate campus and statewide vaccine distribution data on our COVID-19 dashboard to keep our community informed.

We strongly recommend that all members of the TU community receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Fully vaccinated individuals are exempt from post-exposure quarantine guidelines and may gather in small groups with other vaccinated individuals without wearing a mask. We anticipate that the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention will continue to update guidance on the health benefits of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

Thank you for helping us to make our campus as safe as possible. Please direct any questions to covid19@utulsa.edu.

Sincerely,

Matt Warren
Vice President for Risk Management and Chief Compliance Officer
