The flexible structure of our programs encourages students to immerse themselves in interdisciplinary areas of study and customize the curriculum to suit their education and career goals. You will develop cutting-edge research in a broad variety of biological areas — from virology and microbiology to neuroscience, genetics, and beyond. Working in a close-knit collaborative environment you will receive personal advice from our faculty and work directly with your mentors in laboratories on state-of-the-art equipment that supports leading-edge microscopy, DNA analysis, and more.

Working on outdoor sites is an integral part of teaching and includes visits to ecological field sites such as the Oklahoma Cross Timbers and the Ozark Mountains. In addition to deepening your critical thinking and communication skills, we place a great emphasis on student engagement and you will enrich your learning experience by joining a diverse student community.
