About

Jean Blocker’s work on environmental values and social movements has been published in mainstream sociology journals, including Social Forces and Social Science Quarterly, as well as in specialized journals, including Journal for the Social Scientific Study of Religion, Environment and Behavior and Youth and Society. Research projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation have been used in policymaking for electricity rate structures, community and environmental impacts of transportation routes and floodplain management.
