About

Before joining The University of Tulsa, Ahmad Amiri, Ph.D., served as a research assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. His research interests encompass various aspects of energy storage for electric vehicles (EV), including structural batteries and supercapacitors, as well as stretchable energy storage. His work spans the entire spectrum, from synthesizing structural energy materials to conducting mechano-electrochemical characterizations. Additionally, his lab explores research topics such as water treatment, and the development of multifunctional composites and vitrimers.
Amiri is the author of over 115 archival journal papers, several book chapters, and holds more than five patents. He has been honored with several national and international awards.
