About

Laura Ford, Ph.D., is a professor of chemical engineering who specializes in engineering education. Her classes include engineering science thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, mass transfer and separations, process control, and chemical engineering laboratories. She advises The University of Tulsa chapter of Engineers without Borders – U.S.A. Ford is chair of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ (AIChE) Education Division’s Survey Committee, which surveys departments across the U.S. each year about courses and curricula in chemical engineering. She managed the Solar and Alternative Technologies Research Experience for Undergraduates (2019-23).
