Karrie Smith, Ph.D., is an instructor in the Chemistry & Biochemistry department who focuses on teaching the chemistry in medicine and general chemistry courses. She is a native of northeastern Oklahoma. She earned a B.S. in chemistry from Emory University and a Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry from the University of Kansas, where she investigated psychoactive natural products for their potential therapeutic applications.
