About
Suzanne Thompson Stanton, Ed.D., is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She specializes in the treatment of adults with acquired communication disorders. Her research is in the areas of acquired alexia treatment, dysphagia, ethical practice and student recruitment. Her clinical experience includes providing services to children and adults in a variety of settings including rehab, outpatient, long-term acute care hospital settings, schools and university clinic setting. Stanton is the coordinator for the Tulsa Aphasia Group, an aphasia community support group. She served as president and vice-president for the Oklahoma Speech-Language-Hearing Association and on the State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
