Bo Hui, Ph.D.

About

Bo Hui is an assistant professor of computer science. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Auburn University and earned his B.S. degree in Computer Science at Xi’an Jiaotong University. Before the Ph.D. program, he worked as a senior software engineer in the industry. His research interests lie within the broad area of data mining and machine learning. Specifically, he is interested in designing machine learning methods for complex real-world data and addressing social concerns (e.g., fairness, explanation, and privacy) in AI. His work has been applied in many real applications such as traffic prediction, social recommendation, and drug discovery. His research papers have been published at top conferences ranging from ICLR, AAAI, KDD, ICDE, ICDM, CIKM, and EMNLP.
