About
Margo E. Shipley is a third-generation Tulsa native and a proud graduate of The University of Tulsa College of Law. Shipley graduated from John Brown University with a double major in political science and Spanish before attending law school, where she graduated as class valedictorian and served as the Notes and Comments editor of the Tulsa Law Review.
Following law school, Shipley worked as a litigator at the Tulsa-based firms of Newton, O’Connor, Turner and Ketchum and Hall Estill, where she focused her practice in the areas of insurance law, complex commercial litigation, and tort defense. Shipley is an active member of the Tulsa community and has served on the board of directors of multiple non-profits, including Tulsa Boys’ Home and Tulsa Lawyers for Children.
Shipley joins The University of Tulsa College of Law’s faculty in 2025, where she will teach legal writing.
