About
Thomas Arnold earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan and his A.B. and M.A. from Ohio University. After graduation from law school, Arnold worked as an attorney for Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Detroit, Michigan.
Arnold joined the faculty of the UTulsa College of Law in 1980 and served as associate dean for nine years and as acting dean in 1994. He was director of the entrepreneurial law certificate program from 2001 to 2008. Professor Arnold took emeritus status in December 2019.
Arnold has served as president of The University of Tulsa faculty senate and president of the Council Oaks/Johnson-Sontag chapter of the American Inns of Court in Tulsa.
Professor Arnold was the coauthor of two editions of a treatise on accountants’ liability and of three volumes on Oklahoma Business Organizations for West Publishing Company.
Among other courses, Arnold taught accounting liability, agency and partnership law, contracts, contracts drafting, corporate law, multinational corporations and human rights, entrepreneurial law and franchise law. He also taught summer courses in Geneva, Switzerland, Dublin, Ireland, and Freiburg, Germany.
