About
Amy Schachle is a senior instructor in mathematics at The University of Tulsa and has been teaching math since 2003. She received her M.S. in applied mathematics from the University of Oklahoma, and B.A. in mathematics from Mills College. She has taught at the high school and college level, and strives to engage students in understanding the “why” questions in math and in having fun with math.
She has led sessions for the Tulsa Math Teachers’ Circle, Tulsa Girls’ Math Circle, Sonia Kovalevsky Day (for middle and high school girls), and professional development workshops for K-12 teachers. She is actively involved in the Oklahoma-Arkansas Section of the Mathematical Association of America.
