About

Evren M. Ozbayoglu is currently a Jonathan Detwiler Chair Professor in The University of Tulsa Petroleum Engineering Department, and is the director of The University of Tulsa Drilling Research Projects (TUDRP). He earned his B.Sc. in 1996 and M.Sc. in 1998 from METU. He earned his Ph.D. from The University of Tulsa in 2002. He started working at METU as a full time faculty member, and continued working at METU until August 2009. Since then, he has worked for TU.

Ozbayoglu has numerous publications, including more than 200 peer-reviewed journal papers and conference papers, chapter in SPE Textbook Series “Fundamentals of Drilling Engineering” (ISBN: 978-1555632076), and one of the authors of “Drilling Engineering: Advanced Applications and Technology” (ISBN: 978-1259643743). He has participated in several industrial projects on major drilling engineering topics, and his research interests include all major topics related to drilling and well completions.
