About
Jerry McCoy is an applied professor of Physics & Engineering Physics at The University of Tulsa, where he also received his academic training. His professional specialty is undergraduate physics education, both lectures and labs. He has been recognized with several teaching-excellence awards including the University of Tulsa lifetime excellence award and the Oklahoma Science Teachers Association Higher Education Science Teacher of the Year award. Over his 32-year career, Professor McCoy has been active in global education, teaching training, science outreach, faculty governance and undergraduate recruiting. He has also served as Acting Chair of Physics & Engineering Physics.
