Grubhub deliveries using Hurricane Gold Dollars
All members of the TU community (Students, Staff & Faculty) can now order Grubhub deliveries using their Hurricane Gold Dollars. The deliveries can be to either on-campus or off-campus addresses.
As an added bonus to the partnership between TU and Grubhub, when Students, Staff & Faculty members link their Grubhub and Hurricane Gold Dollars accounts, they will get free Grubhub+ as long as you have an active utulsa email address. This means you will get unlimited free deliveries and other special deals. Here’s how you can sign up:
- Download the Grubhub app and create an account.
- Tap account, then Campus Dining.
- Follow the prompts to activate free Grubhub+.
- Start ordering.

The Hurricane Gold Dollars is a debit-like account available to registered students, faculty, and staff. The account is administered by the bursar’s office. Unlike dining dollars which can only be spent at campus dining locations, students may spend Hurricane Gold Dollars at all on-campus and now off-campus merchants using Grubhub.
Once a deposit has been made to a Hurricane Gold Dollar account, it can be withdrawn at any time, or it will carry over from one academic term to another. Funds in Hurricane Gold Dollars accounts do not expire. Want to add funds to your Hurricane Gold Dollars account, start here.
Grubhub FAQ
You’ll have access to any restaurant on the nationwide Grubhub network. This includes many merchants in your local area, as well as the 300k+ merchants on the Grubhub network nationwide. This means you can enjoy ordering with Hurricane Gold Dollars on Grubhub not just in Tulsa but wherever you are! You can edit your location in the Restaurants tab.
Once you add your campus card and Hurricane Gold Dollars you will receive a free year of Grubhub Plus subscription service, so your money goes further with free delivery fees and other benefits. Once you add your campus card your Grubhub+ membership is activated. This membership continues to be free for all TU current students, staff, and faculty members.
Not for Grubhub Plus restaurants. By adding your campus card and Hurricane Gold Dollars to your Grubhub account, all TU students, staff, and faculty are eligible to receive free Grubhub Plus subscription service at Grubhub+ restaurants. Even if you use a different payment method than your campus card and Hurricane Gold Dollars, your Grubhub account is still eligible for Grubhub+ membership. Free delivery restaurants will have GH+ by their names. You can filter your search for eligible restaurants only. All other fees (service fees, etc.) are still charged as shown when you place a Grubhub order.
Your Grubhub order will not process. You can deposit more money and Hurricane Gold Dollars by clicking here. Your family and friends can also make online deposits to your account by using the link.
Like any other Grubhub order you can decide how much you want to tip. The app gives you the option to adjust the tip from the suggested percentage to another suggested percentage or a custom tip amount. Your order will process in one transaction on your campus card so you will see the total for your order, fees, applicable tax, and tip amount (as selected) processed in one total amount.
If there is an issue with your Grubhub delivery or order, please contact Grubhub Support directly from the app. Go to Settings > (scroll down to the Support section) > Support/Help
The 5 digit card number can be found on the back of your ID card, above the mag stripe. If there are more than 5 numbers, it is the first 5 numbers.
