COVID-19 Precautions

In accordance with Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum’s Safer at Home Order that now extends through April 30, employees who are able to work remotely should remain off campus unless absolutely necessary. TU staff members who report to work for minimal campus operations and anyone who visits campus must take their temperature twice daily (once in the morning and once in the evening). If you have an elevated temperature or feel ill, please remain at home and notify your supervisor. Faculty and staff should also contact Laurie Paul at Hurricane Health Clinic at 918-631-2974 for further evaluation and advisement if their temperature is elevated.

As a reminder, all employees who are not reporting to work for minimal campus operations must check in and out when using campus buildings (this also includes North Campus). In order to make this process more convenient, simply visit https://utulsa.edu/check from your smartphone or laptop to submit the time you enter and exit the premises. This process works best on mobile devices with the PowerApps app from Microsoft. You will log in with your TU user ID and password. If you choose not to use the app, please call 918-631-5555 when arriving at and departing campus.

Storm Season Precautions

As we enter severe weather season, faculty and staff should review building emergency plans to familiarize themselves with designated shelter areas in any building where they may be working.

Also, inclement weather procedures have been updated for students still living in campus apartments: In case of a tornado warning, students should take shelter on the lower-level concourse of the Reynolds Center or in the basement of Hardesty Hall. Students living in residence halls should shelter in place.

All students and employees are encouraged to register for TU emergency text alerts, which include weather warnings for Tulsa County. Please direct any questions regarding emergency plans or shelter designations to Matt Polson at matt-polson@utulsa.edu.
