McFarlin Library – Room 4100
The mission of the Faculty Resource Center is to support and promote the integration of technology in teaching, learning, and research at The University of Tulsa.
With instructor and student success as our primary focus, the Faculty Resource Center strives to:
- Provide instructional support to faculty that aids in the integration of technology into the curriculum and that best supports learners and educators
- Support faculty and students with their use of Harvey our Blackboard Learning Management System and other associated and connected technologies
- Provide technology services and resources that meet instructors’ needs and are consistent with the University of Tulsa’s mission and goals
- Provide a forum for consultation, discussion and sharing of ideas among educators
Our facility is available for use by faculty and staff working on curriculum and research. The facility includes PC’s and Mac’s to support special software along with multimedia needs. We have video editing tools along with Adobe software geared toward web page creation. The FRC includes a Scantron test scanner for use by faculty and support staff.
Not only do we support our LMS and tools plugged into Harvey but we also support several tools on a campus-wide level including Panopto streaming media server, Blackboard Collaborate, Turning Point student response system, and Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor tools.
In addition to supporting these tools we also support the technology and events in Tyrrell Hall. We also work with various technologies to help support audio and video classroom technologies along with Crestron control panels.
Faculty are welcome to drop by the Faculty Resource Center (McFarlin Library – Room 4100) and use the equipment or schedule a time to ensure availability.
