Final day to apply: Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (student email)

NOTE: Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. (Central) Oct. 1, 2021.

Dear TU students,

The University of Tulsa has received funds from the Department of Education to provide emergency financial aid grants to our students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus.

The American Rescue Plan Act’s Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF III) directs The University of Tulsa to allocate emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or child care.

The University of Tulsa is required to follow the eligibility criteria defined by the Department of Education for the emergency financial aid grant.

Apply for the HEERF III emergency financial aid grant online. Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. (Central) Oct. 1, 2021.

Once all applications are received and reviewed, if you are eligible to receive this emergency financial aid grant, you will be emailed a notification of the award. If you authorize The University of Tulsa to credit the HEERF III emergency financial aid grant to your bursar account, the funds will be applied to your outstanding balance. If you prefer to have the funds paid to you directly, and if your bursar account is set up for automatic deposit, funds will be deposited directly into your bank account; if not, a check will be mailed to you. Please make sure the mailing address you have on file is up to date. We plan for notifications and disbursements to be made during October.

For more information, please email Student Financial Services at finaid@utulsa.edu.

Sincerely,

Brad R. Carson
