Give Greater is TU’s “giving day” – an annual 24-hour campaign to unite the TU family, including alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and friends, through giving to TU.
What makes Give Greater different than any other day?
Loyal alumni and donors often offer “matching gifts” during Give Greater; for example, when tied to a matching gift, your $10 gift becomes $20 or your $25 gift becomes $50. We also update our totals for Give Greater in real time, so you can see the number of donors and dollars raised increase with every gift received. Finally, we always have a participation goal during Give Greater (this year it’s 500 donors), so you can cheer us on as we get closer and closer to that milestone throughout the day.
Where does my Give Greater money go?
The short answer is: wherever you want it to! This year, we have more designation options than ever before, so you can give to a college, department, scholarship fund or even support Athletics by joining the Golden Hurricane Club. No matter which designation you choose, your gift will help meet TU students’ greatest needs.

How can I help spread the word?
Tell your friends about Give Greater before and on April 6! You and your friends might want to make a plan to give to your college. Or maybe you’d like to strike up a friendly competition to see who among you can generate the most gifts through their Give Greater Facebook posts. Something as simple as a text or social media story can make a huge difference in how many people participate in Give Greater, and thus how great of an impact that one day can have on TU.
