Recruitment Information

National Panhellenic Council Sorority (NPC) and International Fraternity Council (IFC) chapters at TU have a formal recruitment process. The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and Independent Greek Council (IGC) sorority and fraternity chapters have individual recruitment activities instead of a single recruitment process.

Sorority Recruitment Information Session, Tuesday, August 24th, 2021: 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Students will meet in Allen Chapman Student Union Great Hall A. This event will provide a more detailed look at Tulsa sorority life, including responsibilities and benefits of sorority membership and costs. We will also have the opportunity for Q & A. Students already registered will meet their Recruitment Counselor at this event. Registration for sorority recruitment is not required for attendance.

Open House Day, Saturday, August 28th, 2021: 10:00 am – 4:30 pm

Students meet in Allen Chapman Student Union Great Hall A. All Potential New Members (PNMs) will meet with all 6 chapters. During the 30-minute events, chapters will give information about costs and expectations of membership.

Sisterhood & Philanthropy Day, Monday, August 30th, 2021 – Wednesday, September 1st, 2021

Monday, August 30th, 2021: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Tuesday, August 31st, 2021:  6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Wednesday, September 1st, 2021:  6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

New Members (PNMs) arrive at the chapter house where Recruitment Counselors will check them in. PNMs will visit up to 4 chapters but it is common for women to attend less than 4. During the 40-minute events chapters will share more about their sisterhood and their values.

Chapters will host two parties each night (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). On Sunday, August 29th, 2021, each woman will be notified which chapter(s) invited her back. Women will be able to attend the party at the time and date of their preference will be asked to sign up by 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 29th, 2021. PNMs can choose what date and time, but all women MUST attend a party hosted by every chapter that invited her in order to continue participating in sorority recruitment.

Preference Day, Friday, September 3rd, 2021: 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Potential New Members (PNMs) will attend a maximum of 2 chapters. During these 60-minute parties, chapters will share more about what makes their sisterhood a place they can call home.

Bid Day, Saturday, September 4th, 2021 – 1:00 pm

Potential New Members (PNMs) will meet with recruitment staff in Allen Chapman Student Union Great Hall A to receive their bids and then attend their chapter bid day celebrations.

 

 

IFC 2021 Recruitment and Registration – August 27 – 29

Fraternity Recruitment Information Session #1: Monday, August 23, 12:00-1:00 p.m. This is a virtual event. Join HERE.

Fraternity Open House #1: Monday, August 23, 8:00-10:00 p.m.

Open houses are optional events. The intent is for Potential New Members (PNMs) to be able to converse with members of chapters freely without time constraints. Attire: All Open house events are casual.

Fraternity Recruitment Information Session #2: Wednesday, August 25, 12:00-1:00 p.m. Location: Chouteau A (Student Union 2nd Floor)

Fraternity Open house #2: Wednesday, August 25, 8:00-10:00 p.m.

Open houses are optional events. The intent is for Potential New Members (PNMs) to be able to converse with members of chapters freely without time constraints.

Fraternity Recruitment Information Session #3: Friday, August 27, 6:00-6:45 p.m. (Lorton Performance Center)

Fraternity Recruitment Day 1: Friday, August 27, 6:45p.m.-9:15 p.m. Attire: Casual (T-shirt, Khaki Shorts or Jeans).

Potential New Members (PNMs) will interact with all 7 chapters for an equal amount of time. PNMS will be divided into 7 groups. Each group will have its own schedule for the day. Each PNM will visit every chapter house for 15 minutes each with a 5-minute transition period in between groups.

Fraternity Recruitment Day 2: Saturday, August 28, 9:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Attire: Business Casual (Collared Shirt and Khaki Pants).

Potential New Members (PNMs) will interact with up to 4 chapters for an equal amount of time. PNMs will start the day in their Day 1 group but receive their own schedules for the day. Each PNM will visit each chapter house for 50 minutes each with a 10-minute transition period in between groups.

Fraternity Recruitment Day 3: Sunday, August 29, 9:45 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Attire: Formal (Button-down shirt and slacks).

Potential New Members (PNMs) will interact with up to 3 chapters for an equal amount of time. PNMs will start the day in their Day 1 group but receive their own schedules for the day. Each PNM will visit each chapter house for 80 minutes each with a 10-minute transition period in between groups.

Bid Day: Sunday, August 29, 6:00 p.m. Attire: Casual

Potential New Members (PNMs) will meet with recruitment staff and receive bids before being invited to their new chapter’s bid day celebration.
