Sophomore Housing

Incoming transfer students interested in Sophomore Housing may indicate this preference on your housing license.

The Sophomore Housing (SOHO) Experience connects staff members and service learning with residence life to continue the transition of second-year students into the TU community and contribute to their success within the institution. Students will enjoy the residence life experience of their own single room with the added benefit of living in a community of other sophomores. In addition to in-hall discussions and guest speakers, students in SOHO will have the opportunity to engage in a number of activities outside the university environment, attend cultural events and participate in team building challenges and social activities. These activities help students become comfortable with the residential and academic aspects of university life.

Benefits of Living in SOHO:

  • All residents in SOHO have their own private room in a suite-style living environment. You and your suitemates will share a bathroom and living room area.
  • Residents will be able to participate in a service learning project within the greater Tulsa community.
  • Residents will have the opportunity to develop skills to enhance their leadership by attending sessions with university faculty and staff.
  • Residents will meet monthly over dinner to discuss hot topics and challenges and continue to build an inclusive living community.
