Volunteer Opportunities
UTulsa parents and families share their time, opportunities, and financial resources. From cheering on our Golden Hurricane athletic teams and helping recruit new students, to establishing scholarship opportunities, internships, and post-graduate work, each family gets involved in a way that is meaningful to them and helpful to our students. We’ve seen firsthand the positive impact the generosity of UTulsa parents can have on the UTulsa community.
There are many ways for you to plug in, network with other UTulsa parents and families, and support student success. We hope you will join us in making a difference for future generations; please see below for some engaging ways you can make a difference in the lives of UTulsa students!
Parent & Family Ambassadors
Parent and family ambassadors give one of their most precious commodities: time. You can volunteer for various on-campus and regional recruiting events, reach out to parents of prospective UTulsa students, host send-off parties for new UTulsa families in your hometown, and help the new student orientation team with move-in day. Contact the Office of Admission at admission@utulsa.edu or 918-631-2307, or New Student Programs at starttu@utulsa.edu or 918-631-3590 to express interest in supporting these efforts.
Parent & Family Employers
Parent and family employers give one of their most precious commodities: opportunities. These UTulsa parents and families are often industry leaders, hiring managers, or well-connected people with the ability to provide internships, employment opportunities, or leads for TU students.
Consider collaborating with CaneCareers (Career Services) as a supportive parent. Any approved positions will be available for current students to find via the university-wide recruiting platform, Handshake. Contact CaneCareers at canecareers@utulsa.edu or 918-631-2345 with questions or to express interest in supporting these efforts.
Parent & Family Donors
Parent and family donors give one of their most precious commodities: financial resources. Philanthropy allows parents and family members to augment their support of their own UTulsa student. Gifts of every size help bridge the gap between tuition and our students’ greatest needs, allowing us to inspire and empower our students to achieve excellence and become leaders in their fields.
By contributing, you become a key partner in enhancing academic programs, funding scholarships, and fostering innovative research opportunities. For more information, contact Teresa Erker Bont, director of Development, Parent and Family Giving, at teresa-bont@utulsa.edu or 918-631-4002.
