McFarlin Library

Ideal for quiet contemplation, study and research, McFarlin Library is also a place of active engagement and the celebration of scholarly pursuits; a true academic town square, perfectly situated right in the heart of the campus.

Students and faculty have direct access to the library’s extensive research holdings that include almost 1,000,000 print volumes, 113,000 electronic journals, and more than 1,000,000 electronic books. Other resources digitized University of Tulsa dissertations, more than 100 reference databases, government documents, microforms, maps, art objects, and historical archives that including 20,000 linear feet of manuscript material.

We actively promote scholarship, critical thinking and responsible citizenship through information literacy, and we provide a welcoming place for self-education and lifelong discovery.
