McFarlin Library offers reference help through text messaging. Send a text to 224-357-6350 to receive answers to short, quick questions during the hours when the reference desk is staffed. In cases of technical difficulties, answers may be delayed; if you need an immediate response, please call the reference desk.

The Reference Desk is open and staffed during the following hours when the library is open (check hours here):

A response to your question is usually sent within 24 hours on weekdays only. Email reference questions are not answered on the weekends or holidays and will be answered the following weekday.
