Making the transition to college can be both exciting and challenging for new students (and their families). The University of Tulsa is perfectly sized to offer students new experiences and the freedom of self-discovery, while providing the comfort of a close-knit college community.
In the office of New Student Programs and Services we work all year to help students succeed quickly at The University of Tulsa and to successfully integrate into the academic, cultural and social experiences available across campus.
Our year-round student orientation programs are designed to help students quickly acclimate to college life and make connections that will support them throughout their time at TU.

Spring Start Orientation
A half-day event is offered each fall in conjunction with the broader fall orientation program for first year students. The August half-day event is typically attended by students transferring into TU, and non-traditional students beginning in the fall semester.
Every January we host an orientation event for students beginning their academic studies at TU in the Spring Semester. This half-day program connects new students with campus professionals, student leaders and on-site resources who can help students succeed quickly. This event is held the Saturday morning before classes begin in the Spring semester and includes both breakfast and lunch. The January half-day event is for all incoming students in the Spring semester.
ImpactTU is a short-term student success workshop held each fall for first-year students at The University of Tulsa.
This six-week institute highlights key skills and competencies leaders can put into practice as they transition into our campus community. This six-week program includes group discussions, presentations by students and campus leaders, weekly giveaways and a free meal at each meeting.
Students can expect to learn more about ImpactTU during Orientation and the first weeks of the new semester. Learn more here.
