Welcome to The University of Tulsa

The University of Tulsa is a student-centered research university that cultivates interconnected learning experiences to explore complex ideas and create new knowledge in a spirit of free inquiry. UTulsa is Oklahoma’s highest-ranked private university. It comprises a Graduate School and six colleges: Kendall College of Arts & Sciences, Collins College of Business, Oxley College of Health & Natural Sciences, College of Engineering & Computer Science, Honors College and College of Law.

UTulsa has 3,800 students, a student-faculty ratio of 9:1 and average class size of 13. Although the university is small, it has more National Merit scholars per capita than any other university in the United States.

A leader in blending liberal arts, professional studies and career support, UTulsa strives to produce the region’s most well-rounded alumni. Across all programs, faculty and staff ensure that students receive the support and guidance they need to thrive in their studies and beyond. Clubs, intramurals, Greek life, study abroad and community engagement opportunities are plentiful.

UTulsa continually seeks ways to partner with people and organizations across the city of Tulsa in order to represent and unite the vibrant community while playing a pivotal role in propelling it forward socially, culturally and economically.

The University of Tulsa is home to 300 full-time faculty with experts in a variety of topics, such as cyber studies and cyber security, petroleum and chemical engineering, sustainability and energy expansion, energy and the economy, energy law, advanced materials and composites, health care, trauma and PTSD, food/nutrition studies and popular culture, real estate, entrepreneurship and start-ups, robotics, virtue and happiness, indoor air quality, cancer biology and anticancer drugs, the history of the Americas, Soviet and Ukrainian media and literature, author James Joyce, musician Bob Dylan, and much more.
