Each year, The University of Tulsa’s Graduate School honors student achievements at the Graduate Student Awards Banquet. Three unique awards are presented annually to exceptional students and faculty: Distinguished Graduate Student Research Award, presented to a student whose research has made a substantial and original contribution to their academic field; Distinguished Graduate Student Award, presented to a student who has both excelled academically and made a substantial contribution to their department, university, or scholarly community; and Distinguished Graduate Mentor Award, presented to a faculty member who has had a substantial impact on the academic life and career of students.
Additionally, for the first time, the Distinction in Pedagogy Award was distributed this year, given to students who have attended six or more voluntary pedagogy workshops with Jennifer Airey, dean of the Graduate School, during one semester.
