Always True

One of my favorite events that the University of Tulsa puts on is the annual homecoming bonfire. I love this event because of the fireworks, the band, the homecoming festivities, and of course, the massive bonfire. Along with all these fun activities, I also love seeing how many alumni come back to experience this event for yet another year. The alumni association involvement has been something neat and special to witness. It is so cool to see just how many alumni still participate and stay active in campus events. It really shows that people are proud to be graduates of the University of Tulsa. Because TU alumni take such pride in their alma mater, the school has built a really strong reputation.

There are many companies in the area that continually recruit TU students because of our reputation. There are also many donors, both alumni and other, that support our campus as well as students. Because TU is a private school with many proud alumni, there is a lot more flexibility and opportunity for scholarship than some of the other state schools. Upfront the cost of TU may look more expensive, however the final numbers for me were very similar to state schools because of the greater opportunities for scholarship a private university provides.

Not only have TU alumni enhanced my experience as a student, but they have also made me so excited for the great experiences and opportunities that are to come after I graduate. I am very thankful to be attending a university that people are so proud to be associated with.
