Assistant Professor of History Nicole Bauer‘s book manuscript is provisionally titled “In the Kingdom of Shadows: Secrecy and Transparency in Eighteenth-Century France.” It is under review with a major university press.
Bauer recently won the Marjorie Bond Research Fellowship at UNC Chapel Hill to conduct research in the Wilson Library’s rare books collection. Bauer was also nominated for the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer stipend to begin preliminary research on a project on disability during the Enlightenment and the French Revolution.
